Handy Hints

So you’re ready to say “I Do”?…

Have you thought about the following?

One of the most important things you should decide before you start planning your Wedding is your Budget and how formal you want your wedding to be;

Budget determines the size of your guest list, your bridal party, food and also alcohol i.e. smorgasboard, sit down meal, cocktails and also open bar or not – Once this is determined you can really start planning your special day;

Set a suitable date for your Ceremony and Reception. Contact the Reception Venue you have chosen and check that your chosen date is available. When choosing your Reception Venue it is always a good idea to get referrals. If your Ceremony is to be outdoors, find an alternative venue in case of bad weather;

If your Ceremony is outdoors, i.e. Beach, or Public area you will need to contact your local Council to make sure there is no fee applicable to where you have chosen to have your ceremony. It is also a good idea to make sure that there is no planned large activity going to be on the same day. i.e. Surf Carnival, Local Fund Raiser etc.
